研究范围与定位

The journal Studia Translatorica publishes original theoretical, empirical, and review articles. At the core of the academic reflections presented in the published articles are issues related to various forms of translation and interpreting, as well as on inter- and intralingual, intra- and intersemiotic translation, considered, among other things, in the context of translational, linguistic, psycholinguistic, and cognitive models. We also publish the results of research conducted within the framework of experimental translation studies, providing insights into the rules of interpersonal verbal communication in different types of translation settings. We also welcome submissions that deal with metascientific aspects of translation science, research methodology as well as the methodics of (experimental) research procedures, and provide insights into translation processes and mental operations occurring in the actants of translational communication. Some of the published articles are devoted to modern academic didactics of translation. As the only one of this kind in Poland, our journal presents linguistically/translationally profiled research, which aligns with the mainstream of international translation research. Studia Translatorica publishes the results of (experimental) explorations of translation, including interpreting and multimedial translation, which distinguishes the journal from other journals rooted in the literary-studies tradition of translation research. As the only journal of this kind in Poland, it is assigned to the discipline of linguistics. The journal enjoys a high reputation among translation scholars worldwide. The contributions published in the journal fall within the following thematic areas: the status of the science of translation among other disciplines and the perspectives for its disciplinary autonomization, paradigmatic modelling of translation, linguistic aspects of translation, intersemioticity and intermediality in translation, translation from a communicological perspective, translation from a culturological perspective, experimental science of translation, new translation technologies, literary translation from the view of the science of translation, translation didactics in the academic and school-based didactics. A significant part of the journal is the section presenting reviews of the latest publications in translation theory, practice, and didactics.
