Stability at the University of Bradford Stability is published by Peace Studies and International Development, an academic department at the University of Bradford, England. The department is the fruit of a merger between two ground-breaking centres: Peace Studies, founded in 1973, the first department of its kind in the world; and the pioneering Bradford Centre for International Development, originating in 1969 as the Development and Project Planning Centre (DPPC). Publication Frequency The journal is published online as a continuous volume and issue, with articles made publicly available throughout the year to increase the speed of dissemination. Stability’s Special Collections are published as part of the normal issue, and also within a separate collection page. These collections address a specific issue or theme and are a core component of the journal’s identity and vision. Open Access Policy Stability provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Authors in Stability retain copyright of their articles and grant third parties the right to use, reproduce and share them according to the Creative Commons license agreement. Authors are encouraged to publish their data in recommended repositories. For a list of generic and subject specific repositories that meet our peer review criteria, see here. Publication Fee Stability endeavors to keep fees as low as possible, charging a per article rate of £350 GBP. This covers all editorial, publishing, marketing and overhead costs. Stability is a non-profit publication, with all revenue allocated to journal operations. If you are unable to meet article processing costs, a fee waiver may be possible, especially for authors from the Global South without access to institutional funding. Please indicate this during initial submission process Journal Archiving The journal is indexed by the following services: CrossRef, JISC KB+, Open Policy Finder, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), EBSCOHost, Google Scholar, Cengage Learning, European Reference Index for Humanities and Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS) and Scopus. In addition, the journal is available for harvesting via OAI-PMH. This journal also utilises CLOCKSS and LOCKSS archiving systems to create permanent archives of all publications for the purposes of preservation and restoration.
