Peer-reviewed scientific journal “Texts and History” (Slovesnost’ i istoriia) is published by the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkinskii Dom) of the Russian Academy of Sciences and is dedicated not only to the oral or written text in history, but also to the history of the text, its language, the history of the plot, the topos and literary device, the history of the book. The journal deals with the issues of cultural history, the reflection of history in literature, and the connection between literature and historical processes. The journal promptly responds to new ideas and current events. We accept for publication both scientific articles and literary texts and historical sources prepared for publication, as well as reviews of new books, polemical notes, bibliographic thematic reviews, conference chronicles. The audience of the journal “Texts and History” is historians of literature and language, folklorists, specialists in the field of medieval musical text, paleographers, book historians, cultural historians.
