Romanica Olomucensia offers an international forum for the publication of original research that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of linguistics, literature, translation, and the cultures of Romance-language countries. The journal publishes manuscripts that demonstrate methodological rigor, high standards of scholarly writing, and either offer significant conclusions within their area of study or provide an innovative contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the field.In addition to research articles, the journal welcomes substantial book reviews and research notes that provide in-depth critical discussion and contribute meaningfully to scholarly debate within the above-mentioned disciplines. The main aim of the journal is to create a bridge between the long-established Central European research tradition in these fields and specialists from Romance-language countries, especially in Europe, but also in the Americas and Africa.
