Mission statement The Nordic Journal of Francophone Studies is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal in the field of transnational and intercultural French studies. It welcomes high-quality scholarly contributions that examine the diversity of the Francophone cultural sphere from decentered perspectives, with a particular, but not limited, focus on interactions between Francophone and Nordic spaces. The journal accepts original research articles and book reviews in French or English across a wide range of humanities and social science fields, including postcolonial studies, comparative literature, cultural sociology, translation, and reception studies. The journal takes a critical perspective on the ideological perception of the Francophone project. It aims to question the reference to Francophone studies with its ideological framework. Our target audience consists of academics (researchers, teachers, doctoral students and master's students) from Nordic countries, Europe, Africa and Canada. Publication frequency The journal is published online as a continuous volume and issue throughout the year. Articles are made available as soon as they are ready to avoid any unnecessary delays in content delivery. The Nordic Journal of Francophone Studies publishes collections of articles edited by guest editors. A special collection is a page that groups together articles published as part of the main journal volume. It is common practice to engage guest editors to supervise and edit articles and manage the peer review process. The Nordic Journal of Francophone Studies follows the guidelines below, based on DOAJ requirements for special issues and collections: The editor-in-chief must be responsible for the content of the entire journal, including all special collections, which must fall within the scope of the journal. Articles in special collections must be subject to the same editorial control as regular articles, including external review where appropriate, and be clearly labeled. Guest editors must be informed of and comply with all journal policies. Journals must ensure that guest editors' credentials are checked and approved. The editor-in-chief or dedicated members of the board of directors must supervise guest writers. Articles submitted to a special collection by the guest editor(s) must be processed through an independent evaluation process and must not represent more than 25% of the total collection.
