REQ publishes articles that further knowledge and advance the science and application of antimicrobial chemotherapy with antibiotics and antifungal, antiviral and antiprotozoal agents primarily in human medicine. The Journal particularly welcomes manuscripts on: the practice of evidence-based medicine relating to antimicrobials (clinical trials, systematic reviews and meta-analyses); antimicrobial treatment (pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and prescribing practices); the action of antimicrobial agents and the mechanisms, genetics and epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance; antimicrobial stewardship, and the genetic basis of antimicrobial resistance.
