Psychosis: Psychological, Social and Integrative Approaches addresses two steadily developing fields: psychological treatments of psychosis (e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Open Dialogue, psychodynamic and family therapy etc.) and psycho-social causes of psychosis (e.g. drug abuse, child abuse and neglect, urban living, poverty, rape, war trauma, discrimination, etc.). The journal’s audience, beyond the 1600 members of ISPS, is practitioners and researchers with an interest in psychosis. The journal’s unique focus, and multi-disciplinary approach, renders it attractive to: psychiatrists clinical psychologists primary care doctors nurses social workers psychotherapists and counsellors family and group therapists occupational therapists other allied professionals and to researchers in the disciplines of: health administration sociology public health economics cultural studies gender studies political science Psychosis invites research and commentary papers on: evidence-based treatments including individual, family and group therapies derived from a range of models and disciplines. descriptions of psychotherapy, first person accounts of psychosis and experiences using mental health services the integration of psychological & social understandings, and treatment approaches in all phases of recovery training and knowledge of mental health professionals in the treatment and prevention of psychosis conceptual analysis and ethical considerations related to diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation issues Peer Review Integrity All manuscript submissions are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent expert referees.
