Potato Research, the journal of the European Association for Potato Research (EAPR), promotes the exchange of information on all aspects of this fast-evolving global industry. It offers the latest developments in innovative research to scientists active in research on the potato crop (i.e., crops from the Solanum genus). The journal includes authoritative coverage of new scientific developments, publishing original research, review papers, minireviews, and perspectives from all continents. The word limit is 15,000 words including all elements of the submission for original research and review papers. For minireviews and perspectives this word limit is 6,000 words. Potato Research welcomes contributions in traditional and emerging fields of study on potato, including but not limited to ⦿ agronomy, including fertilizer use, control of stem and tuber numbers, crop protection, irrigation, crop rotation, etc. ⦿ crop modelling, including modelling of climate change effects, yield prediction, decision support systems, pest and disease development etc. ⦿ seed production and seed systems, including seed degeneration, early generation seed, minituber production on aeroponics, apical rooted cuttings, quality-declared seed, true seed, etc. ⦿ breeding and variety assessment, including genetic diversity, resistance breeding, participatory variety selection, etc. ⦿ plant and crop physiology, including tuberization, abiotic stress, dormancy, physiological disorders, sink-source relations, etc. ⦿ pathology, including soil-borne pathogens, late blight, early blight, storage diseases, etc. ⦿ entomology and nematology, including aphids, Colorado potato beetles, cutworms, potato cyst nematodes, root knot nematodes, etc. ⦿ virology, including viruses, viroids, vectors, etc. ⦿ molecular sciences, including metabolomics, proteomics, biochemical pathways, etc. ⦿ storage, including sprout control, storage pests, storage diseases, cold storage, etc. ⦿ engineering, including mechanization, equipment for soil tillage, crop protection and harvesting, etc. ⦿ processing and utilization, including acrylamide, Maillard reaction, starch, proteins, novel food, waste management, etc. ⦿ field, glasshouse and phytotron trials related to the above. Papers reporting on field studies should include at least two seasons or contrasting environments.
