Oxford Open Climate Change is a broad, interdisciplinary journal covering all aspects of climate change. It explores the science of climate change, impacts on both natural systems and human societies, as well as solutions ranging from technological innovations to nature-based approaches, and from societal shifts to policy responses. The journal publishes research across a wide spectrum of interconnected topics, spanning science, policy, and practice, including: Physical and biogeochemical processes of climate change Climate-related technologies and transitions, including geoengineering, negative emissions, and carbon removal Adaptation policy, impact assessment, and vulnerability analysis Just transition challenges and policy responses Mitigation strategies, including carbon pricing and other policy instruments Economic analysis and integrated assessments, from decarbonization pathways to climate-resilient agriculture and industry Business and economic implications of climate change Climate risk in finance and investment, including sustainable and green finance Human health and well-being in the context of climate change Urban development and climate resilience The nature–climate nexus and nature-based solutions Climate and development interactions, including links to poverty Climate politics and governance The journal plays a key role in disseminating research across traditional disciplinary boundaries, helping to break down silos commonly found in specialized publications. Oxford Open Climate Change is committed to principles of openness, enhancing both the accessibility and use of published work. It features a mix of submitted and invited contributions, along with special issues addressing critical challenges from diverse perspectives.
