All issues of the series Novitates Theriologicae are thematic, especially after the Proceedings of the Theriological School (nowTheriologia Ukrainica) transformed into a journal (starting from volume 10). The main attention is paid to the study of wild mammals, both native and alien species, including the synanthropic fauna. Therefore, key research areas are related to the study of the current composition of fauna and its long-term changes, seasonal dynamics, features of geographic and biotopic distribution of species, issues of species variability and diagnostics, analysis of populations, guilds and communities, fauna protection.
