The name Mozaik Humaniora reflects the journal’s intellectual orientation. Like a mosaic composed of diverse elements, humanities knowledge emerges from the careful juxtaposition of multiple perspectives, traditions, and methods. The journal understands the humanities as a field where differences—historical, cultural, linguistic, textual, and philosophical—are not obstacles but productive sites of meaning-making. Rather than seeking homogenisation, Mozaik Humaniora values analytical depth, conceptual plurality, and contextual specificity.The journal publishes original research articles in core humanities fields written in English and in Indonesian, including: Cultural studies; Linguistics and literary studies; Philology and textual scholarship; Historical studies; Philosophy. Mozaik Humaniora is positioned firmly within the humanities while welcoming interdisciplinary scholarship, particularly research engaging with the social sciences, media studies, area studies, science and technology studies (STS), and related fields. Interdisciplinary submissions must be anchored in humanities-based questions, theories, and interpretive methods, and demonstrate a substantive contribution to humanities debates rather than instrumental, empirical, or policy-oriented outcomes. By prioritising interpretive, theoretical, and historically grounded analyses concerned with meaning, representation, and value, the journal ensures conceptual coherence, methodological consistency, and alignment with international standards for humanities scholarship, while enabling productive cross-disciplinary dialogue without diluting its core intellectual orientation.The journal prioritises manuscripts that: Offer strong conceptual or theoretical interventions; Employ rigorous textual, discursive, historical, or cultural analysis; Address issues of meaning, representation, identity, power, ethics, and knowledge production; Engage critically with local, regional, and global contexts.
