The journal "Medical Informatics and Engineering" is a key journal in Ukraine dedicated to the development and use of information technologies in healthcare. Programmatic goals of the scientific and practical journal "Medical Informatics and Engineering": informing healthcare workers and those in related fields of knowledge/science, researchers, pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical staff of higher education institutions, employees of medical, pharmaceutical, and biological research institutions, and the public about the results of fundamental and applied research in biomedical informatics and engineering, about modern trends and processes of informatization taking place in the economy of Ukraine. Periodicity: 4 times a year. Languages of publication: Ukrainian, English. Topics and Types of Publications The journal "Medical Informatics and Engineering" accepts for publication articles, reviews, short communications, and letters to the Editorial Board that contain original research materials on the following topics: Informatization of the healthcare system. Digitalization of healthcare. Trends in the development of medical and biological informatics and engineering. Information, expert, and intelligent systems in healthcare and biology. Information technologies for systemic research in healthcare and biology. Management problems in biomedical systems. Artificial intelligence in healthcare. Chatbots in healthcare. Image processing. Optimization of management processes for prevention, diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation. Problems of virtualization: augmented, virtual, and mixed reality. Telemedicine technologies. Mathematical modeling in healthcare and biology. Evidence-based medicine/pharmacy. Medical engineering and electronics. Information technologies for obtaining, storing, transferring, and analyzing biomedical information. Obtaining, processing, and analyzing biomedical images and signals. Computer diagnostics of diseases and computer prediction of the course and outcomes of pathological processes. Development and application of biometric methods. Knowledge structuring, knowledge bases, organization of search, processing, and dissemination of knowledge.
