Latest issue All issues Aims and Scope About the Journal Editorial Board Ethical Guidleines Peer Review Contacts Author Guide The Kantian Journal (ISSN 0207-6918; e-ISSN 2310-3701) is a scientific journal with more than forty years of history. The Journal is published by the Academia Kantiana, a research subdivision of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University. The central focus of the Academia’s research programme is the study of Immanuel Kant’s philosophy and its reception in Russian and other philosophical traditions, along with the history of Russian Neo-Kantianism, and the study of the Enlightenment project and its relevance for the twenty first century. The Editorial Board consists of the members of the world’s leading research institutions, prominent Kant scholars, and specialists in Neo-Kantian and Enlightenment philosophy. The Journal’s History The Journal was founded under the title of “Problems of Immanuel Kant’s Theoretical Legacy” (issues 1-5) in 1975 as the proceedings of the “Kant Readings” conference that took place for the first time in Kaliningrad in 1974, commemorating Immanuel Kant’s 250th birthday. From 1981 to 2006 (issues 6–26) the Journal was published annually as “Kantovskii Sbornik: An Inter-Institutional Thematic Collection of Academic Works” From 2008 to 2010 the Journal published two issues / volumes / numbers a year under the title “Kantovskii Sbornik”. Since 2010 the Journal is published quarterly. Since 2018 all papers in the Journal are published in both Russian and English or German. The Journal’s names in Russian and English are “Kantovskii Sbornik” and “Kantian Journal” respectively. The Content of the Journal is formed by research articles dedicated to various aspects of Kant’s philosophy, its reception, critique and transformation within different philosophical traditions, and its applicability to solving both scientific and critical problems that are relevant today. Besides this, the Journal’s thematic focus also includes the studies of Neo-Kantianism and of Enlightenment philosophy and the perspectives of its revival in contemporary intellectual discourse. The expected audience of the Journal is the philosophical community – from graduate and undergraduate students to influential specialists.
