The Journal of Translational Autoimmunity is a peer-reviewed open access journal that primarily aims to disseminate bench-to-bedside research in autoimmunity. It is a spin-off from the Journal of Autoimmunity, which publishes papers related to the diverse aspects of autoimmunity. The Journal of Translational Autoimmunity considers submissions transferred from the Journal of Autoimmunity as well as direct submissions.The immune system is becoming part of a growing number of other disciplines, so research in the development of autoimmune disease is increasingly important across disciplines. Translational research links basic science with clinical application, showing how the excellent work done in basic science research laboratories around the world is relevant in real life.The Journal of Translational Autoimmunity does not accept manuscripts that consist mainly of bioinformatics analyses or computational studies of public data without following the guidelines for reporting bioinformatic studies (e.g. STROBE-MR) together with appropriate experimental validation.The Journal of Translational Autoimmunity welcomes translational research on the many autoimmune diseases, including (but not limited to):LupusPsoriasisSjogren's syndromeAutoimmune hepatitisType 1 diabetesAutoimmune cytopeniasThe ultimate goal of the journal is to provide readers with relevant information to understand the underlying pathogenesis of this group of common disorders. Authors can submit in various formats, including original research, systematic reviews, letters to the editor, brief communications and case studies or case cohorts. All submitted manuscripts undergo rigorous peer review by experts in the field.
