The Journal of Social and Economic Development provides a comprehensive platform for research and analysis in the fields of social and economic development, with a particular focus on issues that impact emerging economies and underrepresented communities. In addition to publishing high quality contributions on economic modelling with a strong theoretical and conceptual foundation, the journal discusses developmental issues that focus on viable institutional structures and good governance. It also provides a platform for debate and discussion on policy matters. The journal welcomes original research, policy analyses, case studies, and review articles that address a diverse range of topics including, but not limited to: Economic Growth and Development Poverty, Inequality, and Social Policy Urbanization, Sustainable Development, and Environmental Economics Industrial Development, Globalization and Economic Integration Innovation, Technology, and Infrastructure Health Economics and Public Health Decentralisation and Development The journal encourages interdisciplinary approaches and values contributions from diverse methodologies, including empirical studies, theoretical models, and policy analysis. Submissions that offer comparative perspectives, focus on case studies, or present findings with direct policy relevance are highly encouraged in the below-mentioned word limits: Original Research [up to 8000 words including references] Review Papers [up to 6000 words including references] Research Notes [up to 3000 words including references] Case Studies [up to 3000 words including references] Brief Reports [up to 1500 words including references] Book reviews [up to 1500 words] By publishing high-quality research, the Journal of Social and Economic Development seeks to foster a deeper understanding of complex socio-economic issues, inform policy debates, and contribute to positive developmental outcomes at both local and global levels. The journal invites scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to engage with its content as a resource for innovative ideas and evidence-based solutions.
