JSSAL provides a platform for researchers, academics, professionals, and practitioners to communicate and share knowledge in the form of empirical and theoretical research articles, pilot studies, position papers, and reviews (scoping/systematic reviews, meta-analysis, meta-synthesis, and book reviews). Scope and Focus The Journal of Research in Social Sciences and Language (JSSAL) is an international, peer-reviewed journal situated within the broader field of the social sciences with a specific focus on education and language-related issues in learning environments. Rather than covering the full spectrum of social science research, the journal concentrates on teaching and learning processes in educational contexts, particularly where language plays a central role. JSSAL publishes empirical and theoretically grounded research that examines educational practices, policies, and learning processes in schools, higher education, and vocational education. The journal welcomes studies employing quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, and Q methodological approaches. The journal particularly encourages submissions addressing topics such as multilingualism, language acquisition, classroom interaction, teacher education, curriculum development, and sociolinguistic perspectives on education.
