Aims and Scope Journal of Nutrition and Food Security is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge on nutrition, food security, and sustainable food systems. The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, health professionals, policymakers, and other stakeholders to disseminate high-quality research addressing the availability, accessibility, affordability, safety, quality, and utilization of nutritious food and their implications for human health and well-being. The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic and scoping reviews, meta-analyses, methodological studies, and evidence-based policy analyses covering nutritional, agricultural, environmental, economic, and social dimensions of food security. The scope includes, but is not limited to: Human nutrition and health, including nutritional status, dietary patterns, nutrient deficiencies, and diet-related diseases Food security and food insecurity, including food availability, access, affordability, utilization, and stability Maternal, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and older-adult nutrition Micronutrient deficiencies and nutritional interventions Community and public health nutrition Food quality, safety, and nutritional value Food systems and sustainable food production Agriculture, food supply, and nutrition linkages Sustainable diets and environmentally sustainable food systems Food policy, governance, and nutrition-sensitive policies Socioeconomic determinants of food security and nutrition Poverty, inequality, and vulnerable populations Climate change, environmental change, and their impacts on food and nutrition security Food loss, waste, storage, processing, and distribution Food markets, prices, affordability, and economic access to nutritious foods Food fortification, supplementation, and nutrition-sensitive interventions Traditional foods, dietary diversity, and culturally appropriate nutrition Food security in emergencies, conflicts, disasters, and humanitarian settings Urban, rural, and household food security Food system resilience and adaptation to climate and socioeconomic change Nutrition surveillance, assessment, and monitoring Modeling, forecasting, and data-driven approaches to food and nutrition security Innovation and emerging technologies for sustainable food systems and nutrition The journal particularly encourages interdisciplinary and translational research that connects nutrition
