The Journal of Marine Engineering and Technology (JMET) is a subscription-based journal, peer-reviewed journal for specialized Marine Engineering and Technology research with a focus on practical implementation to solve the societal shipping challenges including environmental impact, safety at sea, and reduced and zero crew. The Journal of Marine Engineering and Technology publishes papers that explore developments in marine engineering and marine technology for industrial practitioners and researchers. We publish work that clearly illustrates its impact on solving societal shipping challenges, including environmental impact, safety at sea, and reduced and zero crew. The journal only publishes work that contributes significantly to the advancement of marine engineering and technology and demonstrates applicability in a real world setting. We consider research articles, data notes and review articles that contribute to our vision, aims and scope. Articles received by the Journal will be subject to single anonymous peer review. Data notes need to contribute to insights into the advances in Marine Engineering and Technology and are preferably associated with a research article within the scope of JMET. Review articles need to contribute to a clear overview of the advances in one of our technology fields. The Journal of Marine Engineering and Technology will consider papers which examine advances in marine engineering and technology in the fields of: Alternative fuels and impact on well-to-wake greenhouse gas and hazardous emissions. Novel Energy systems including advances in propulsion and power generation. Energy saving technology and techniques. Advances in ship auxiliary systems. Advances in maintenance of marine engineering systems. Artificial intelligence to reduce environmental impact and crew or improve safety. Data analytics and tools to reduce environmental impact and crew or improve safety. Systems and technology in support of autonomous shipping. Autonomy, robotics and automation applied to shipping. Advances in shipboard control systems. Advances in sensors and actuation on ship systems. Design and manufacturing methods for marine engineering systems. Rules and Regulations for ship machinery. Advances in Marine Engineering System and Shipping Safety, Risk and Reliability. Authors can choose to publish gold open access in this journal.
