Journal of Hydroinformatics is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal. Engaging academics and practitioners, the field of hydroinformatics considers interactions from natural systems to built environments. The journal explores how water moves through nature and our cities, focusing on how natural water systems interact with human-made structures like city drainage, green infrastructure, flood and drought management, wastewater treatment, and water supply under climate change or extreme weather. The Journal aims to publish papers that advance the understanding and technological development of the water cycle through both numerical and experimental approaches in the digital era. Interdisciplinary in nature, Journal of Hydroinformatics considers the digital technologies, system analysis tools, and artificial intelligence theories involved in sensing, monitoring, modelling, and control of water resources. The Journal also welcomes decision science across all levels, from governance and policy to management and operations for multi- and trans-disciplinary applications and exploration. The journal's scope includes, but is not limited to: Innovation in Process Modelling for Simulation, Forecasting and Control of Hydrosystems Hydrological and hydraulic models for hydroenvironmental, hydrogeological, hydrometeorological, ecohydrological, ecohydraulic or cryospheric complexity Models for assessment of water resilience and sustainability strategies Models for uncertainty, reliability, and resilience analysis within water resources Predictions using extreme weather simulators or climate change patterns in hydrosystems Water system analysis and system complexity Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Computational Advancement of Hydrosystems Data science, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and informatics methods Emulators and digital twins for real-time system management Spatiotemporal data analytics, forecasting and geospatial data processing Computational intelligence (e.g. neural networks, SVMs, ensemble learning, evolutionary optimisation) Edge computing, cloud computing, advanced communication networks, control algorithms, and high-performance computing Virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality for decision making Data Management, Sensor Integration, and Advanced Communication for Monitoring in Water Resources Space-born and air-born remote sensing and intelligent image processing Data centres, d
