Journal of Chemical Engineering of Japan is a monthly English-language publication of the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan. The Journal publishes original research in the fields of chemical engineering ranging from fundamental principles to practical applications. SUBJECT AREAS Physical Properties and Physical Chemistry Transport Phenomena and Fluid Engineering Particle Engineering Separation Engineering Thermal Engineering Chemical Reaction Engineering Process Systems Engineering and Safety Biochemical, Food and Medical Engineering Micro and Nano Systems Materials Engineering and Interfacial Phenomena Energy Environment Engineering Education General Research and Others TYPES OF CONTRIBUTION Research Papers : Significant and complete research works. Short Communications: Brief reports or research notes. Three typeset pages maximum. Letters to the Editors: Comments and discussion on published papers in the journal. Three typeset pages maximum. Journal Reviews: Critical reviews or keynote papers in important areas of chemical engineering. Prospective authors are asked to consult with one of the Editors to check the suitability of their topics. Please note that Journal of Chemical Engineering of Japan converted to full open access from volume 56 (2023). Previous volumes will continue to provide access through a Pay to Read model. All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by at least two (2) independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is single anonymized.
