JMIR Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies (Editor in Chief: Sarah Munce, PhD) is a PubMed/PubMed Central, SCOPUS, DOAJ, Web of Science, Sherpa/Romeo, and EBSCO/EBSCO Essentials indexed journal dedicated to publishing research on the development and evaluation of rehabilitation and assistive technologies, including assistive living. As an open access journal, JMIR Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies is read by both clinicians and patients. It focuses on readable and applied science that reports on the development, implementation, and evaluation of health innovations and emerging technologies in the field of rehabilitation. Submissions may include research that is foundational to developing, implementing, and evaluating rehabilitation innovations or technologies. Research that involves a variety of knowledge users, including patients and family members, as co-researchers, is of particular interest. Similarly, studies that consider the unique needs of underrepresented groups are of particular interest, as are mixed methods studies. It publishes original research, viewpoints, and reviews (both literature reviews and medical device/technology/app reviews).
