IntroductionJACC: Advances is an international, open-access journal of the American College of Cardiology dedicated to publishing high-quality clinical research, timely reviews, and innovative scholarship that advances cardiovascular medicine. By providing immediate, unrestricted access to its content, the journal helps accelerate the translation of scientific discovery into clinical practice.The journal welcomes a broad range of original research, including clinical investigations, epidemiologic studies, health services and outcomes research, health policy, methodology including clinical trial design, and other advances that improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.
