The journal “University proceedings. Volga region. Social sciences” is dedicated to share the results of scientific research in social sciences carried out in universities and other scientific organizations of Volga region with the wide scientific community. Priority lines of journal’s policy are as follows: - research of major tendencies and lines of development of the Russian legislation in comparison with the legislation of the leading nations, research of state’s legal policy formation at the present stage, study of historical and theoretical legal problems concerning various branches of law; - sociological research including sociology of the region. The priority objective of the journal is development of fruitful international cooperation in the field of social sciences, attraction of world level scientist to cooperation within the scope of the journal, encouragement of young scientists to join scientific activity in the sphere of juridical, sociological and economic sciences.
