Revista IZQUIERDAS es una publicación científica (peer reviewed) en acceso abierto y de edición continua (ahead of print o adelanto de edición) editada por Ariadna Ediciones con el auspicio del Centro de Estudios Iberoamericanos de la Universidad de San Petersburgo. Su misión es difundir la producción historiográfica validada sobre los hechos e ideas del conjunto de las manifestaciones sociales, políticas, intelectuales y estéticas de las agrupaciones, organizaciones y personas relacionadas con el pasado y presente de lo que social y tradicionalmente ha sido o son reconocidas como constitutivas de las izquierdas y el socialismo latinoamericanos, en una perspectiva de diálogo con realidades similares de otras regiones del mundo.
