An open access journal published on behalf of the Italian Society of Zoologists (Unione Zoologica Italiana) The European Zoological Journal aims to be the premier Zoological journal globally, increasing international readership and becoming more accessible to a wider audience. The journal publishes research on the following topics: Protozoan and animal biology at molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, organismal, population, and community-ecosystem level. Research on multiple levels of organization and integrative approaches to study animal form, function, development, ecology, evolution and systematics The journal publishes regular articles, invited reviews, and short commentaries (four printed pages or less). Abstracts and Conference proceedings approved by the UZI Executive Committee are also featured in the journal on an ad-hoc basis. Once your paper has been assessed for suitability by the Editor, it will then be single anonymous peer-reviewed by at least one independent, anonymous expert referee.
