Aims and scopeJournal metrics Editorial board Please note that from 6 September 2024, submissions to this journal are made via ScholarOne Launched in 1970, the International Journal of Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary journal that publishes original research in environmental sciences and studies that examines the complex interactions between natural and human-made environments. Journal Focus The journal favours an interdisciplinary approach, but welcomes focused studies that demonstrate robust methodologies and evidence-based conclusions. We value research that bridges the gap between theoretical frameworks and practical applications, recognising that environmental challenges require integration across scientific disciplines. We especially encourage submissions that demonstrate innovative approaches to complex environmental problems through interdisciplinary collaboration. The journal maintains a global perspective, recognising that environmental challenges transcend political boundaries, while acknowledging the unique contexts of different regions and communities. Our aim is to provide a platform for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to share knowledge that contributes to environmental sustainability and informs evidence-based policy decisions. Research Areas of Interest The International Journal of Environmental Studies welcomes submissions across the following areas: Environmental Sciences & Assessment: environmental monitoring, assessment, and management strategies; pollution control, remediation, and contamination studies; risk assessment and analytical methodologies; environmental restoration and cleanup techniques. Agricultural & Food Systems: sustainable agriculture and crop production systems; agricultural biotechnology and environmental applications; soil conservation and restoration techniques; veterinary sciences and agricultural environmental health. Biological Sciences & Ecology: ecosystem conservation and biodiversity management; environmental microbiology and biotechnological applications; ecological systems and biological environmental solutions; medical microbiology in environmental contexts.
