Hematology is an international open access journal publishing original and review articles in the field of general hematology (haematology). Hematology is the Official Journal of the International Society of Hematology. The journal aims to bridge the interests and practices of those carrying out laboratory work and those working in patient care, emphasizing the clinical aspects of published material. Hematology also publishes interdisciplinary areas of research related to general hematology, including: Oncology Pathology Biology Clinical cancer research Epidemiology Thalassemias and leukemias The journal also accepts technical annotations covering current laboratory practice in general hematology; blood transfusion and clinical trials; and current clinical practice reviews of care and management. Hematology publishes research articles, review articles, systematic literature reviews, case reports, rapid communications, technical reports, registered reports, and letters to the editor. The journal operates a single-anonymized peer review policy.
