The journal publishes manuscripts related to headache, orofacial pain, and associated disorders, including topics that may have implications for headache research and clinical practice. The scope encompasses clinical and experimental studies, qualitative and quantitative research, and investigations using animal models that contribute to understanding disease pathophysiology and pharmacological mechanisms. In addition, the journal welcomes methodological and theoretical studies, explanatory models, and scientific images published in the online version. Headache Medicine seeks to disseminate innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of headache disorders and to foster the exchange of knowledge within the international scientific community. Manuscripts may be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish, or English; however, accepted articles are translated and published exclusively in English. All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening followed by single-blind peer review.
