Description:Galactica Media: Journal of Media Studies is an academic journal founded in 2019. Galactica Media specializes in publishing research articles, reviews, informational resources, as well as reports on academic expeditions and conferences. The journal is exclusively available in digital format without a print edition. Publication Frequency:The journal is published quarterly, four times a year, providing current research in the field of media and mass culture. Thematic Focus:Galactica Media covers a wide range of topics related to media research, from history and cultural studies to anthropology and philosophy. The name reflects inspiration from the works of media culture theorist Herbert Marshall McLuhan and his concepts of the "Galaxy" (the Gutenberg Galaxy, the Marconi Galaxy, etc.). Journal's Objective:To create a platform for exchanging opinions and discussions in the field of media research, facilitating the development of new research and discoveries. Journal Philosophy:The journal adheres to the principles of cultural dialogue, the philosophy of non-violence, and cultural tolerance. The main goal is to facilitate the removal of language barriers and respect for the differences of national cultures. Academic Disciplines:The journal accepts publications in fields such as historical studies, anthropology, theory and history of culture, philosophy. However, this does not mean that articles and other materials written in other branches of research will be categorically rejected. The journal welcomes articles on issues of media and mass culture, written from the perspective of the most diverse academic directions or at the intersection of several researches, as this approach, in our opinion, can be the most effective and allow looking at known problems from a new angle. Editorial Policy:All incoming materials undergo a double-blind peer review, ensuring a high academic level of publications. The editorial board follows strict academic and ethical standards. Publication Terms:Articles are published for free, in accordance with the principles of open access. Authors are not paid royalties. A processing fee is charged for manuscripts, the details of which can be found in the Policy on Charges for Publication and Processing of Manuscripts.
