Evolving Earth is a multi-disciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research on Earth System Evolution and Global Change. We prioritise integrative studies that advance understanding of how interactions among lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere, and human systems have shaped the evolution of the Earth system across geological time and how these processes inform present and future environmental change. Evolving Earth provides a dedicated platform for cross-disciplinary research that transcends traditional academic boundaries to advance integrated understanding of planetary dynamics, environmental transitions, and global sustainability challenges.The journal prioritizes studies that bridge geological records of environmental transformation with contemporary Earth system monitoring, modelling, and forecasting. We particularly encourage integrative research, syntheses, and methodological advances that connect processes across Earth’s spheres and across temporal scales — from deep-time reconstructions to present-day observations and future projections.Evolving Earth seeks contributions of broad international relevance and actively promotes submissions from diverse geographic regions and research communities.
