The journal’s focus and scope include the theoretical, methodological, and applied exploration of encyclopedias and encyclopedic knowledge within the contexts of history, culture, language, social communication, information, publishing, and technology. The journal was founded as a platform for discussing the issues of building the Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine. Today, however, it serves as a scholarly platform for research on both the creation of encyclopedic works and the ways they shape and reflect knowledge across disciplines. Many articles focus on Ukrainian encyclopedias, but we also warmly invites studies on encyclopedism from around the world.
