Authors are reminded that Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism is primarily a journal of pharmacology and therapeutics, focused mainly on human research relevant to patient care. The scope of the journal includes studies of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, cost-effectiveness, real world evidence of drug utilisation, safety and effectiveness, as well as conventional randomised controlled trials (phase I-IV studies).
