RMS: Research in Mathematics & Statistics is a broad open access journal publishing all aspects of mathematics and statistics including pure, applied, computational and interdisciplinary mathematics and statistics. The journal has a particular focus on original research in complex systems, relevant as either fundamental contributions (which can be mathematical, statistical, or interdisciplinary) or as impactful applications. Topics include, but are not limited to: Differential equations, growth of solutions, singularity analysis< Inverse problems, inverse transforms and reconstruction algorithms Dynamical systems and nonlinear differential and difference equations Stochastic processes applied to modelling of growth phenomena Asymptotic analysis of stochastic and deterministic dynamical systems Learning theory: stochastic learning, deep learning, adaptive networks Aggregation models in theoretical biology and immunology Complex networks and stochastic inference on graphs: smart grids, replica theory Phase transitions in complex systems: nonequilibrium and dynamical extensions Analysis of algorithms: computational complexity, feasibility and surrogate methods Generalized optimization, including non-commutative and real-algebraic cases Non-parametric Bayesian estimation and hierarchical models The journal also includes, but is not limited to, broad topics areas as: Algebra, Calculus and analysis, Geometry and topology, Combinatorics, Logic, Number theory All aspects of statistics and probability; History and Philosophy of Mathematics and statistics Operations Research Mathematical Education Mathematical Physics The journal primarily publishes research articles, but also welcomes review articles and case studies. Proposals for special issues are warmly encouraged and should be discussed with the Editor-in-Chief or one of the senior editors. Papers deriving from conferences are welcomed but should be significantly extended and improved. Peer Review Policy All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor. If found suitable for further consideration, papers are subject to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is single/double blind and submissions can be made online via our submission portal. Publishing Ethics The Journal adheres to the highest standards of publishing ethics, with rigorous processes in place to ensure this is achieved: Taylor & Francis is a member of Committee of Publications Ethics (COPE).
