Sie ergänzt damit die beiden Zeitschriften Clinical Research in Cardiology (klinische Originalarbeiten) und Basic Research in Cardiology (Originalarbeiten aus der kardiovaskulären Grundlagenforschung). Deutschsprachige Weiterbildung wird fortan durch die neu gegründete Zeitschrift Der Kardiologe geboten. Die Themenhefte Clinical Research in Cardiology Supplements erscheinen nach Bedarf in unregelmäßigen Abständen und stehen in der inhaltlichen Verantwortung eines Gastherausgebers. Die finale Entscheidung nach Peer Review obliegt den Editors-in-Chief. The journal Clinical Research in Cardiology Supplements provides a forum for special topics from the fields of clinical cardiology, angiology, as well as heart and vascular surgery. It completes the journals Clinical Research in Cardiology (original papers on clinical cardiovascular research) and Basic Research in Cardiology (original papers related to experimental cardiology). The issues of Clinical Research in Cardiology Supplements are published on demand and with irregular frequency. Guest editors are responsible for the contents, final decision after peer review is to the Editors-in-Chief discretion.
