Ciência & Educação aims to publish original research articles based on the results of empirical or theoretical investigations, as well as essays on topics related to science and mathematics education. In this context, research in science and mathematics education is understood as a body of studies aimed at generating knowledge about teaching and learning processes in disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, geosciences, astronomy, health education, environmental education, and related fields. In addition, the journal is committed to disseminating national and international research in these fields to researchers, educators, students, and the broader public.
