All published materials will remain available through the Cambridge University Press platform in perpetuity.Cambridge Prisms: Precision Medicine is an approach to maximise the effectiveness of disease treatment and prevention by taking into account variability in genes, environment and lifestyle. It seeks to redefine our understanding of disease onset and progression, treatment response, and health outcomes through the more precise measurement of molecular, environmental, and behavioural factors that contribute to health and disease. This understanding can lead to diagnoses that are more accurate, to disease prevention strategies that are more rational, to a better treatment selection, and to the development of novel therapies.
