Biospecies is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing research in biodiversity conservation, conservation policy, and sustainable use of natural resources—especially within tropical ecosystems. The journal is interdisciplinary, welcoming contributions that connect biological sciences with social, economic, political, and technological perspectives on conservation. Biodiversity Loss Studies on the causes and consequences of biodiversity loss, including historical and ecological perspectives. International Conventions Analyses of the effectiveness and enforcement of global conservation agreements such as CITES, CBD, and others. Tropical Ecosystems Living Landscapes Research on the dynamics of tropical ecosystems, ecosystem services, sustainability practices, and restoration informed by indigenous and local knowledge. Floral Wonders Studies on the unique adaptations of tropical flora, their cultural roles, and their use in environmental restoration and plant-based product development. Sustainable Tropics Ecosystem-based strategies for climate change mitigation, disaster adaptation, and sustainable natural resource management.
