Arquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria is the official journal of the Brazilian Academy of Neurology (Academia Brasileira de Neurologia). Created in 1943, the journal aims to publish peer-reviewed papers of relevance to professionals and researchers in the areas of clinical neurology and neuroscience. Original articles, views and reviews, historical notes, images in neurology, and letters related to previously published manuscripts are considered for publication. Case reports and articles in the areas of neurosurgery or psychiatry are not within the scope of this journal. Arquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria is an Open Access journal that publishes its contents in English.Abstracting and indexing:Web of Science, Science Citation Index Expanded, JCR, Scopus, Scimago, MEDLINE/PubMed, Pubmed Central, SciELO, LILACS, DOAJ, EMBASE, Excerpta Medica, LATINDEX, NLL (National Lending Library of Sciences and Technology), WHO/UNESCO, Knowledge hub, QUALIS/CAPESThe journal requires that authors follow the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly work in Medical Journals.
