The Annals of Esophagus (Ann Esophagus; AOE; ISSN: 2616-2784) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal focusing on basic and clinical research in all fields pertaining to the esophagus. In addition to esophageal cancers, Barrett's esophagus, gastroesophageal reflux disease, achalasia, hiatal hernias, esophagitis, congenital esophageal disease, esophageal diverticulum, esophageal perforation, benign esophageal neoplasms, and other rare esophageal malignancies are in the scope of AOE. The Annals of Esophagus is indexed and covered by Web of Science [Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)], and received its latest impact factor of 0.7 for the year 2025.
