Acta Economica

Acta Economica is the scientific journal of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka, which was launched in 2002, and twice a year it publishes papers from all disciplines that are studied at the undergraduate and graduate studies, and it also follows current events in the field of economic sciences. The journal publishes papers in English and abstracts in Serbian. Empirical researches and theoretical analyses are equally important and they will be published if, in the opinion of the reviewers and editors, they meet the standards of the journal. At the request of the Editorial Board of Acta Economica journal, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Republic of Srpska made a ranking of our journal in January 2014. According to the published final ranking, Acta Economica journal was placed in the first category of journals with 29 /30 points and characterized as a leading scientific journal of national importance. As well as then, Acta Economica is in the first category on the list of categorized scientific journals in the Republic of Srpska of the Ministry for Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska. Faculty of Economics has signed an Agreement with the EBSCO database of internationally recognized journals. All issues of the journal (electronic and hard copy) are sent to the Head Office of EBSCO (Ipswich, USA), and analytical processing of all issues is taking place at the moment. Acta Economica journal is also included in the international system of cross-referencing (Crossref Report). Articles are assigned a special code number (Digital Objects Identifier). Every author who has published a paper in our journal will be able to track the number of hits of his published paper by using Crossref, which will be a significant reference in selection of candidates for teaching and associate positions and in evaluation of submitted applications for scientific-research projects. Acta Economica journal has been analytically processed from the first issue in 2002 and all papers are searchable in electronic catalog of National-University Library of Republic of Srpska at the website www.nub.rs and in Cooperative online catalogue COBISS / OPAK.
